A second wide-ranging talk with Travis Christofferson, a health historian, author, and next generation businessman positively impacting cancer care
I recently spoke with Travis Christofferson, author of “Curable: How an Unlikely Group of Radical Innovators Is Trying to Transform our Health Care System” and “Tripping over the Truth”. He has a wide-ranging knowledge not just of the history of cancer care, but how and why we went down our current path with such an extreme focus on genetics, and an ignoring of metabolic and other simple approaches, including repurposing older, inexpensive drugs, nutrition, and quite frankly common sense. He is mild-mannered and not critical of others and does a great job of simply bringing up the issues. I think the outcome of this discussion is helpful in understanding where we are today and why it may pay to be more open-minded about one’s healthcare decisions.
