In September 2015, David co-founded P5 Health Ventures to fulfill a twenty year old vision of consumer-driven personalized healthcare. The firm invests in and helps build companies that generate (diagnostics and devices), monitor and collect (remote patient monitoring) and make sense (AI/ML) of patient signals – all of this underlies a growing need to better know what to test and how to treat patients in a more accessible and affordable manner. In 1999, David founded Post Road Capital Management, an asset management firm that invests in public equities, private companies and alternative assets. David has significant experience in the healthcare, consumer, real estate, retail, insurance, and information technology industries. From July 2009 until June 2011, David worked at Iridian Asset Management, a long-only institutional asset management firm, where he was a managing director with portfolio management responsibilities including direct supervision over $7.5 billion in assets. In 1996, David started VitaSave, one of the first online marketplaces for discounted vitamin and food supplements, which he sold to a competitor in late 1998. David holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law at Yeshiva University. He lives in Westport, CT with his wife and three sons. He enjoys qigong, trail running, crossfit, tennis and lacrosse.
